TVXQ Gain Rank in Japan!
TVXQ, one of South Korea's top K-pop groups, took third place in Japan's 2009 Oricon Rankings by selling about 6.9 billion yen (91.5 billion won) worth of albums and DVDs this year.
Arashi, a Japanese boy band, ranked first with 14.5 billion yen and Exile placed second with 12.9 billion yen. The Oricon rankings are based on sales of albums and DVDs in Japan in 2009. TVXQ, three members of which have been embroiled in a legal dispute with their agency SM Entertainment, is to appear in NHK's year-end show on Dec. 31.
