Sarah Brightman to hold concert in Korea next month

English pop opera singer Sarah Brightman will be in Korea next month for her concert, according to the concert promoter Access Entertainment on Wednesday.

The songstress will take the stage accompanied with a 60-member orchestra at the “Sarah Brightman – in Concert with Orchestra” held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on October 26, making it the third time for her to perform in Korea — she held her first concert in 2004 and again last year.
Sarah Brightman began her career performing with several dance troupes and released several disco singles. She made her musical theatre debut in “Cats” in 1981 and went onto star in the hit Broadway musical “The Phantom of the Opera” as the female lead.

The artist has sold over 30 million albums and two million copies of her DVD worldwide. She is best-known for her international hits such as “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Time to Say Goodbye” and “Nella Fantasia.”

She also made her major motion picture debut in 2008 with a role in the rock opera-musical “Repo! The Genetic Opera.”

Tickets for Sarah Brightman’s concert will be available on September 15 at online reservation site Interpark (www.interpark.co.kr).
