Soccer star Park Ji-sung, 29, of Korea and Saori Kimura, 24, pro-volleyball player in Japan have not been dating, according to his father.
Park Seong-jong Monday denied the reports of romance between his son and Kimura, on radio show "Seo Du-won's SBS Observatory."
"I don't even know who Kimura is," he said, adding that he hoped to see Park marry someone who can help his career in 2 or 3 years.
He also shed light on the rumors of Park's retirement from the World Cup. "He probably meant that he won't be able to play the same role he played this year in the next World Cup," he said.
"His priority right now is to do his best in the Manchester United, as he has extended his contract with the team until next June," senior Park said, about his son's career.
