Moon Geun Young to play a stripper

Actress Moon Geun Young, 23, will be acting in a play for the first time since her debut 11 years ago. Moon Geun Young will be playing the role of a strip dancer named Alice Ayres in Closer.

Closer is an award winning play that was also made into a movie in 2004, starring some of Hollywood’s hottest actors including Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, and Clive Owen. The play has been performed in 100 cities around the world in more than 30 different languages. Moon Geun Young’s character had been played by Natalie Portman in the movie.

This play will open at the Art One Theater in Seoul and run from August 6th to October 10th.
