KARA to star in new Japanese drama “URAKARA”
Korean girl group Kara have been cast in an upcoming Japanese drama.
A press release from DSP announced that the girls will play roles in TV Tokyo’s 12-part series titled “URAKARA” which will air every Friday night on the “Drama 24” timeslot (00:12~00:53) starting January 14.

“URAKARA” is about the members of Kara accomplishing missions related to dating in simulation and reality.
Meanwhile, the girls will release their new single titled “JUMPING” in Japan tomorrow while the Korean version of the entire album will go on sale in Korea as their fourth mini-album on November 16.
The full version of the music video and title track “JUMPING” will be unveiled on various online music sites Mnet, MelOn, Naver, Dosirak, Bugs and GomTV at midnight today.
Composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, Kara made their debut with their first album “Blooming” in 2007. They are well known for their hit songs “Mister,” “Wanna” and “Lupin.”
They have signed with Universal Music Sigma, a branch of Universal Music Group, and made their official debut in Japan in August of this year with Japanese single “Mister” and have entered the prestigious Oricon chart as well.
