Jaejoong, Jang Dong Gun and Ha Ji Won to cast in drama “Hanbando”

The drama is rumored to be named “Hanbando” or “The Korean Peninsula” in English. Production costs are estimated at 10 billion KRW, approximately $9,000,000 USD.

The plot is about the unification of North and South Korea. Jang Donggun is rumored to play the President and Ha Jiwon will play the President’s lover. Jaejoong will play the Chairman of the National Intelligence Service, which is a lead role.
“The Korean Peninsula” will feature tons of CGs (Computer Graphics) and actions scenes, which a lot of money has gone into. The production company of “The Korean Peninsula” is the same company that produced “SungKyunKwan Scandal”. The company has been planning this drama for three years and promises that “The Korean Peninsula” will go down in Korean Drama history. Their strong statement is backed by the fact that broadcasting companies are already contacting them for the rights to air “The Korean Peninsula”.
The staff are considering many top stars, but the lead trio of Jaejoong, Jang Donggun and Ha Jiwon is “90% confirmed”. “The Korean Peninsula” is scheduled to commence filming between June and July this summer and will begin broadcasting in October.
