Hankyung talks about his contract with SM in Marie Claire
more in: Featured, Korean Artist, Korean EntertainmentThere have been questions asked about SM Entertainment‘s contracts ever since Hankyung left Korea one year ago.
Hankyung had a photoshoot with Marie Claire China, and he was asked about his decision to join and leave SM Entertainment. He said, “If I didn’t go to Korea and I stayed in Beijing, I would have become a teacher and would have led a very plain life.” When asked if he was upset at his father for not stopping him, he said, “No. Even if he was against it, I would have gone to sign that contract. It was a chance.”
He was told about the rumors of entertainment companies such as severe training, personal opinions getting ignored, and even having to forcibly drink. Hankyung denied all these right away. “SM Entertainment isn’t like that at all. Other companies may be like that, but not SM Entertainment.”
As he is not restricted by SM Entertainment at all, have his words changed your opinion about SM Entertainment?
